Construction of New Facility

Spiber Inc. and Kojima Industries Corporation have commenced the construction of a new facility to house the next-generation QMONOS™ pilot production line.
In addition, on September 26 the two companies founded “Xpiber Inc.” (headquartered in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture) as a joint venture to further expand their partnership.

PROTOTYPING STUDIO Begins Operations

Spiber Inc. and Kojima Industries Corp. (headquartered in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture), with support from the NEDO subsidy program, have jointly constructed a facility for the production, prototyping and evaluation of new materials such as QMONOS™. A press conference was held today at the Tsuruoka Advanced Research Industry Support Center to announce the commencement of this new facility, which has been named the “PROTOTYPING STUDIO.”

Spiber Held Joint Conference on Construction of Prototype Research Building with Kojima Industries Corporation

On February 20, 2013, Spiber and Kojima Industries Corporation (headquartered in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture) held a press conference about the construction of the prototype research building for our new materials. The conference was held in Yamagata Prefecture and attended by Tsuruoka City Mayor Masanori Enomoto and Prefectural Governor Mieko Yoshimura. We announced the overview and the outlook of the project.
