In order to continue its research and development endeavors and scale up operations to prepare for mass production, Spiber Inc. has received 200​ ​million yen through third-party allocation​ ​of new shares to​ ​MUFG Bank, Ltd. Following the issuance of these new shares, the company’s total capital has increased to ​17.44366 billion yen (including capital reserves).

In order to continue its research and development endeavors and scale up operations to prepare for mass production, Spiber Inc. has received 999.94 million yen through third-party allocation​ ​of new shares to an undisclosed organization. Following the issuance of these new shares, the company’s total capital has increased to ​1​7.24366 billion yen (including capital reserves).

In order to continue its research and development endeavors and scale up operations to prepare for mass production, Spiber Inc. has received 1.6004​ ​billion yen through third-party allocation​ ​of new shares to​ ​organizations including The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company, Limited,​ ​and​ ​Toyota Boshoku Corporation. Following the issuance of these new shares, the company’s total capital has increased to ​16.​24372 billion yen (including capital reserves).

Announcement of Third-Party Allocation of New Shares Worth a Total of 9.58416 billion yen

In order to continue its research and development of next-generation protein materials and scale up operations to prepare for their widespread adoption, Spiber Inc. has received 9.58416 billion yen through third-party allocation of new shares to organizations that have high compatibility with its goals. (This number includes a 3 billion yen investment by GOLDWIN INC., while remaining organizations are undisclosed.) Following the issuance of these new shares, the company’s total capital has increased to 7.326666 billion yen, and capital reserves have increased to a total of 7.316666 billion yen.

Business Acceleration toward Globalization by Initiation of ImPACT and Fund-Raising of 2,550 Million Yen

Spiber Inc. has started the R&D program “Industrial material revolution based on high-performance structural protein” whose project manager (PM) is Mr. Takane Suzuki (former board member of Kojima Industries Corporation). As a result of the official approval of Impulsing Paradigm Change through disruptive Technologies (ImPACT) established by the Cabinet Office on October 2, Spiber Inc. was appointed to and selected as a core research institute.
Furthermore, for system construction promotion towards R&D and globalization, Spiber implemented the allocation of new third party shares totaling 2,550 million yen as of October 31. The capital after the increase is 2,055.33 million yen (capital reserve 2,045.33 million yen).
